Artist notes: In the cover of darkness, the green sea turtle hatch lings
guided to the sea by the moons reflection make a run for it. Although
mast of them will make it to the water, their battle for survival is just
beginning. It is estimated that one in twenty will grow to maturity. Due
to the fact that they have to survive land going, air born and ocean
predators as well as human cultures who seek them for food or capital
gain. All these things take a large toll on their numbers. We can help by
controlling pollution and never buying turtle products.
