Invasion of the Monarchs
Artist notes: Every year along the Gulf Coast ( in October) the Monarch
butterfly on it's trek South (from as far as North Canada) congregates
along the bays and beach areas of the Gulf Coast. During this time they
feed and store energy for the long flight in a remote spot in Mexico
where they spend their Winter months, until Spring when they make the
journey back. This phenomenon has inspired me to create this piece in
honor of yet another one of Mother Natures amazing feats.
